Gil Dezer and Jorge Perez are teaming up together again, working on another luxury oceanfront development that is the first of its kind in the United States - The Residences by ARMANI CASA.

It is an exclusive partnership between ARMANI CASA Interior Design Studio, Dezer Development and The Related Group. This new luxury oceanfront condominium project is a 60-story condominium high rise with 260 luxury 2, 3 and 4-bedroom residences. Early preconstruction prices (as of late July 2014)are starting at $1.35m* for bayfront 2 bedroom condos and up to $5.6m* for oceanfront 4-bedroom "flow-thru" and corner residences.

With only 4 residences per floor, the floor plans are large and spacious. Most floor plans are "flow-thru" designs with views and terraces that are both oceanfront and western side, to enjoy the golden sunsets over the Intracoastal Waterway and bay.

The visually stunning building has been designed by architect César Pelli, known for the World Financial Center in New York, and Petronas Towers in Kuala Lumpur, among many other notable buildings world-wide, including (locally) the Adrienne Arscht Performing Arts Center in Miami.

The condominium will mark the first U.S. project by ARMANI CASA Interior Design Studio, which has designed interiors for condos in other locations: Maçka Residences in Istanbul, Turkey; The World Towers in Mumbai, India; and Century Spire, in Manila, Philippines.

Working under the direction of the fashion designer, the ARMANI CASA Design Studio will designate interior materials, colors, finishes and custom-made furnishings designed to reflect the setting and architecture. In a statement, Armani, CEO of Armani Group, said the Sunny Isles project provides “the opportunity to create something really very special — a remarkable living space, imbued with the spirit of modern elegance.”

The Mansions at Acqualina luxury condominium construction recently "topped off" the building just last month.

The "top-off" makes the 640 foot tall Mansions at Acqualina officially the fifth-tallest building in Florida and the tallest in Sunny Isles Beach. That record won't remain long as the currently under construction Porsche Design Tower, Jade Signature and the soon to begin construction MUSE condominium andTurnberry Ocean Club are all slated to reach 640 feet into the air at their completion.

Why is 640 feet the highest height for the newest reaching-for-the-sky luxury towers? This 640 foot building height (649 feet above sea level) is the maximum allowed by the FAA in this area of South Florida.

According to the developer - The Trump Group, just over 90% of the 79 residences are now in contract, leaving approximately 8 residences still remaining, which would include a newly planned 2 story penthouse planned for the 45th and 46th floors.

The recent reported sale of the top 47th floor as a single floor penthouse changed the original plans by the developer to offer a top two floor penthouse home that had been previously listed at $55 million.
